Connect With UsBeing a patient or having a loved one that’s transferred on an air ambulance domestic/international flight is an overwhelming experience.
One of the ways we help to ease the minds of our patients, their families, and friends is to offer a complete bedside to bedside approach during the air ambulance transfer.
What do we mean? That the team of medical providers, nurses, and doctors are with the patient from the moment they’re picked up at the origin location, to when the intake is completed at their destination facility.
Ground crews such as paramedics and ambulance personnel will coordinate transportation between the jet/airplane and the patient’s home, hospital, or other location.
We also work with a team of translators to provide assistants in communicating with patients during domestic or international medical flight transfers. If you are bi-lingual or multi-lingual, please be sure to indicate as such on your resume.
Being that most of our Air Ambulance 1 staff have experience in critical care, they understand the additional expectations and characteristics that a caregiver must have, beyond that of the proper medical training.
Not only are you caring for the patient physically… but you’re also meeting the emotional concerns of them and the loved ones who may be on the same transfer.
From transferring burn victims and the most critical of pediatric patients to facilitate the private transfer of VIP clientele, Air Ambulance 1 is attentive to the unique needs and concerns of every individual patient that we provide services to.
We require our paramedics to have at least 5 years of experience in aeromedical flights with a professional fixed wing or rotary wing. Responsibilities may include ground transfers to or from aircraft to the origin and destination facilities, and accompanying the patient on the flight to assist in a complete bed to bed transfer.
Air ambulance nurses must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical flights and air patient transfers. Neonatal medical transport experience or pediatric vent transport experience is a plus, as many of our patients are young children with critical health concerns. In most cases, we have at least two registered nurses on each flight.
Do you have a background as an emergency room physician? Our med flight doctors must have at least 3 years of experience in medical flights as well as critical care. A surgical doctor with Air Ambulance experience is a plus, as our med flight transfers are like mobile hospital units in the air.
At least 5 years of experience in the air ambulance industry is required. Deep technical experience in Marketing Procurement Categories (Marketing Agency, Media, Insights & Analytics) or related categories. including nationwide and worldwide experience. Our directors work with flight coordinators, medical staff, and patients on a worldwide scale.
One of the biggest differences that separates Air Ambulance 1 from the competition is our insurance billing department. As experienced billing coders know, claims are often rejected or sent back when inadequate information is provided. We work to pre-verify coverage and fight claims so that our patients can receive their full benefits without a battle.
Without our pilots, Air Ambulance 1 wouldn’t be able to provide the domestic and international medical transfers that we do. If you’re a current pilot who is looking for a career that’s both rewarding and passionate, a medical fight career may be exactly the right fit. Our pilots must have a minimum of over 5,000 flight hours on a twin prop for consideration of this position.
We Guarantee that when choosing Air Ambulance 1, your loved ones shall be treated with professional and compassionate care.
