Independence was founded in 1827 and was named after the Declaration of Independence. The town’s location on the convergence of the Kansas River with the Missouri River helped with the town’s economy. Independence is known as the “Queen City of the Trails” because it was a point of departure of the Oregon Trail and California Trail branched off from the Santa Fe Trail.

Commercial Stretcher on international flights is an economical way to transport patients that are not vented. It is made possible by removing a few rows of seats in the aircraft and replacing it with a stretcher. The patient will be escorted by two critical care medical personal. KGPH - Midwest National Air Center is a public-use airport in Clay County, Missouri, United States. Opened in 1996, Midwest National Air Center serves the Kansas City metropolitan area with a 5,504-foot by 100-foot asphalt runway and adjacent taxiway. The runway extension project, which was completed a few years ago, opened the door for us to be able to serve a greater number and variety of aircraft. We have seen continual growth in our customer base.
