Airport users have easy access to all interstate highways that serve the metropolitan area, as well as other major thoroughfares.
KMCI - The Kansas City Aviation Department owns and operates Kansas City International Airport and Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport. The Aviation Department's mission is to provide outstanding airport services in a safe and cost effective manner for the benefit of citizens, visitors, airlines and customers. The department is an enterprise fund department of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and is supported wholly by airport user charges.
KGPH - Midwest National Air Center is a public-use airport in Clay County, Missouri, United States. Opened in 1996, Midwest National Air Center serves the Kansas City metropolitan area with a 5,504-foot by 100-foot asphalt runway and adjacent taxiway. The runway extension project, which was completed a few years ago, opened the door for us to be able to serve a greater number and variety of aircraft. We have seen continual growth in our customer base.
